Right outside Saint Malo I passed, in fact crossed, one of the world's two tidal power plants. Then had a good 30km ride and found a nice, quiet camping with some shade and a swimming pool.
Two years ago, I was stopped by exceptional snow in Iceland. Now this area is hit by the worst heat wave since 2003 according to Meteo France. Keep track of where I'm going, and stay away!
Looked around a bit in Saint Malo yesterday evening, good seafood, music festival, impressive fortifications which were the scene of major fighting in 1944.
The cycling from the morning was nice, temperature still agreeable. Crossed the river Rance, with a tidal power plant using the 13 meter tidal difference.

Not much more to say. I found a nice camping with swimming pool 30km from Saint Malo, and will stay here at least two nights. Then maybe try another 50km, starting early. I'd rather move on, but this is Code Red according to Meteo France. Shouldn't disregard that. So there will be a pause from here.
