When I stood up, the sun was almost shining, but soon a fog came, and I rode the first hour without much sight. Then long but great ride along the rivers La Taute and Rive. Following the rivers avoids a lot of nasty ascents!
Let me start with this beautiful picture form the river La Taute, close to Carentas-les-Marais.

However, the first hour was in the fog.

| The interesting thing on this picture is what you don't see: 20m to the right are the cliffs, 50m down to the Ocean. That part is wasteland. On the left, agriculture. |
In this area, there is quite a lot of flax (lin in Norwegian.

In Carentas, the EV4 leaves the sea for a while, instead of following the whole coastline of the Contentin (of Cherbourg) peninsula.
Soon I came to the river Vire, and followed a bike path along for 50km. A bit bumpy, but quiet and beautiful. My water ran out however, got fresh water from a guy, who also gave me useful info on the (absence of) restaurants and shops where I was going to stay!
Here I thought I lost the EV4 signs (I was still on the GPX track). But they suddenly changed them 😃

Long ride today, 115km, but not especially tiring without much wind or steep climbs.

| I'm strugling a bit with the best way to show the map. Tried something else today. |
115 km that took me 9:30 hours (7 hours active cycling). Total distance 948 km.
