Even more wind today, 30-45km/h according to the weather forecast, that is 5-6 Beaufort. Apart from that, a nice ride shifting between beach boulevard and inland with forest. Luckily. And no rain, 18 degrees and patches of sun.

Started with buying some food in a supermarket. Then passing Oostende airport (they have one) right against the wind. Reminded med of Iceland, almost. But 10 degrees warmer. That does make a difference.
The parts along the boulevard were very hard, several times I shifted to a parallel road behidn the first row of flats and hotels.

I like to ride along the sea (with less wind at least), but the boulevards are in fact boring. Endless rows of 7-8 story buildings.
In Nieuwpoort there was supposed to be a ferry, but it didn't go 😠. You could check with a bar code. Better to place that bar code a little earlier, 6,5km extra.

| One thing I like in Belgium |
Like yesterday I passed the border without noticing, but suddenly everything was in French. Really good cycling lanes and signs in France. Found a cheap hotel on the outside of Dunkerque. 75km was enough for this day.
Today's trip was 75 km and took me 6 hours (5:20 active cycling). Total distance 243km.
