131km, 6 hours 59 min cycling, 18,8 km/h, 922 m total ascent, 550 m net descent
Woke up 0615 (holiday after all). Nice weather, 0 degrees here at 940 m. Startup at 08:00, gloves and two jackets. Now I really got paid for yesterday's final efforts: an easy start today on a quiet E6 and fast ascent to the highest point and great views to Norway's real national mountain, Snøhetta.

Coffee and vafler at Kongsvoll - Breakfast wasn't finished, but I could just go thee and find some vafler and coffee. 50 NOK, good deal. Great place with well attended old buildings. Recommended. Surprised however how some people use common rooms for their private telephone calls. Three at the same time!
So nice and easy down to Oppdal. But still, arriving there I had booked 400 m ascent! As everything had gone so smoothly, I decided to cycle all the way to my sister in law, Marit Tordis in Rennebu. That would be 130 km, pretty long but not too hard.

Another example. Here is a crash barrier in the middle of the road. So trailers cannot pull to the left when passing me. Pretty tight. E6 between Oppdal and Berkåk.

The dramatic Orkla valley. The river is 200 m down. E6 on the other side.
I cycled over Havdal, which is faster and much more quiet than following the E6 to Berkåk.

Another old stone bridge, Mærk bru on the road from Berkåk to Orkanger. From 1938, still in use, even for heavy trailers.

Sign close to Mærk bru: "exclusive fishing for everyone". Misunderstanding of the word "exclusive"?
The final ascent to Meåsen where Marit Tordis lives is on a gravel road, and steep. But it is worth the effort: cheap and great service! Thanks, Marit Tordis.
