Following the same Canal as yesterday, which then ends up in the river Ille. Same nice track. Rounding Rennes, continuing to a camping outside Bruz. It appeared not to exist in reality. Found an apartment at a Golf resort instead.
First about yesterday night. Went to the closest restaurant, kilometers matter at 35 degrees. Appeared to be a trailer restaurant. So there I was, one cyclist and 20 lorry drivers 😃. Food was decent, for the price: 18 Euros for a 3 course dinner, one beer and one glass of wine. Winelist: 2 choices, cold or warm 🤣.

The early start reminds me of my North Cape tour, where I got up early to reach the ferries. Because of the "cold" nights (18 degrees colder than the day), the tent is pretty wet in the morning, and there is a morning fog sometimes.

Still many locks in the canal, even a "ladder" with 11 locks at Hédé-Bazouge at the start of my ride. Almost like the Panama Canal (but a little smaller).
No more pictures because my focus was on reaching my intended camping before it got too hot. Camping l'Oiseau de Pan however appeared not to exist. There were some holiday houses and a caravan or two. I asked a guy, yes it was a camping, but there were no toilets 🤔. So found an apartment at a golf resort at a reasonable price. No airco however - still less hot than outside. Take a cold shower regularly.
Two km bike ride to a shop in 40 degrees. Feels like cycling in the sauna. And the wind feels like blowing your body with the hair dryer. Interesting, but also scary.
63 km that took me 4 hours, 3:30 cycle tim,e. Total distance 1274 km.
