The route was really nice, mostly avoided roads with lots of traffic and went through rural areas with nice views. Views? Yes, today was really a bit more hilly, a nice variation after 5 days of flat landscape.

Germany is somewhat backward tecnologically, many places there is no 4G 😩, and you cannot pay with card everywhere. But they have modernized their train signs, while Norway still has the steam locomotives.

For the first time on this trip the altitude profile was a bit interesting, shown below. Net total ascent 300.
From tomorrow I will start following the Eurovelo 13. I have a booklet with descriptions. This saves me navigation time (I hope) and doubtfull sand paths.
On Michael's advice I camp on Naturcamping Buchholz, but it was a dissapointment. I guess it has detoriated a bit since he last was here. The tent spot I got was just dirt, and I had to quarrel to get something else. There are no facilities other than toilet and shower and you have to pay extra for wifi. No 4G of course. But admitted, a nice place at the lake.
68km, total time 5:10, active time 4:18.
Total 572km.

When looking at your reports, I see you take your time to look around and enjoy what you see. Very nice. How much time do those "stops" take? Looking forwards to your future observations! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt is a dilemma. I pass several interesting cities where i should spend a day, but i don't take/have the time. I would need another 1-2 weeks, and it takes already long enough.
