Well, not really the first, had two 40 km rides on the racer, but first "tour".
Last year, there was a lot else and did not really get time for riding the bike. This year I would like to take a longer trip again, BUT wil Covid-19 allow? And, will my body cope? It felt a lot harder today then two years ago, but let's try.
Went from home today in familiar terrain, a trip of 64 km.
And, Trøndelag is not flat. Quite some up and down, enough in my present shape:
Today is the first of May, national holiday in Norway. Clouded, windy and chilly. But no rain. Below some impressions from the trip.
| Look in the background: still lot's of snow in the ski tracks on Vassfjellet. They were close when the Covid-19 crisis started, but believe they could still be used today. |
| Lunchbreak on the side of the road. Right behind the snow. Altitude around 200 m. |
| BUT: spring is coming anyway. Fortunately! |
| Spring is also smelly - fresh manure |
| First of May in Melhus |
| What's this? Sawdust. That is, on top of snow. Norwegians never get enough of it and save it to next year 😃 |
