I see there are quite a lot of people who read my blog; feel free to comment, ask or give suggestions!
Waking up to rain, as expected. But not too bad, more like a drizzle. Starting at 07:00 to be in time for the ferry.
A slightly different day with three ferries. I had carefully read the ferry time tables and made a good plan, which however failed already on ferry number one - it took a longer route via an additional place. Therefore it used 1/2 hour more, which meant I had to bike 28 km in 1 hour and 10 minutes. Which is no problem on the racer without luggage, but with 25 kg and all the climbs I have no chance. No problem, just took it easy, enjoyed the day with ever better weather and arrived 1 1/2 hour later. Who cares.
On ferry number two, Ågskaret-Forøy, I arrived 45 minutes early. I just asked the guy on the ferry to confirm the departure time. He said, as a cyclist (!), I could just come on board and relax in the lounge. Dry and warm. So I was sitting there relaxing, and suddenly he came with a cup of coffee! Real nice North Norwegian hospitality.
Also for the last ferry I had to wait for a while. I laid down on a bench and fell asleep for a little while in the sunshine. Suddenly I awoke and thought I missed the ferry - which was not true of course, I would have heard it. It is just the feeling when you wake up.
All in all, it felt like a relaxing day. Staying in a hut at Reipå camping.
For tomorrow I booked a room in Reine, Lofoten. It is a bit far to Bodø (from where the ferry goes), but I think it will be alright. I target the 16:00 ferry, but there is another one at 18:45.
I expected less pictures today, but the weather was much better than the forecast, and the landscape is fantastic, so tempting to make a few pictures. I really recommend a trip to this area - not necessarily by bike :)

This excludes the first 16 km because the registration was split. Same for the altitude profile.

This is something I really appreciate, bench, table and a roof for us who don't carry our own roof! And on a beautiful spot between Jektvik and Ågskaret (ferry nr 1 and 2). Build more of those!

Along the Bjærang fjord, with parts of the Svartisen gletcher in the background. Cars drive through the Svartisen tunnel (8 km), but bicycles are not allowed to (and I do not regret that). Instead we get this part along the Bjærang fjord and another ferry.
